A Creative Sanctuary for Healing
Gentle Support, Inspired by Creativity
At Bebe’s Hive, we believe every child deserves a warm, imaginative space to process grief with other children. Through art, craft, music, and storytelling, we help children and families find comfort, connection, and hope.

What Makes Bebe’s Hive Unique?
Our Mission
Our mission is to support children’s emotional wellbeing through creative grief-informed experiences that nurture awareness, resilience and self-expression.
Using creativity as a tool, we will help children explore and process emotions in ways that feel natural to them.
We are not here to rush healing or provide quick solutions. Instead, we will focus on emotional awareness and regulation, giving children gentle tools they can use both inside and outside the Hive.
Everything we do is child-led, trauma-informed and grounded in kindness.
Why Bebe’s Hive?
Grief is not one-size-fits-all. There is no hierarchy of loss and no set timeline for healing. Bebe’s Hive exists because children deserve support that recognises their individuality and honours their lived experience.
We chose the name Bebe’s Hive intentionally. A hive is a nurturing community – protective, connected and purposeful. Bees work together to build something strong, safe and sustaining. They care for one another. They create structure around vulnerability.
That is exactly what we are building.
Bebe’s Hive is a calm, welcoming environment where grief is acknowledged, but does not define the child. It is a space rooted in belonging – where creativity opens doors to conversation, confidence and connection, and where children are free to simply be themselves.
Like a hive, we grow carefully. We protect what matters. And together, we build something stronger than any one loss.
Where We Are Now?
Bebe’s Hive is currently in a structured development phase as we prepare to deliver creative grief support for children in Southport and the wider community.
During this stage, we are strengthening safeguarding frameworks, refining referral pathways and training volunteers to ensure safe, consistent programme delivery. By building carefully now, we are laying the foundations for responsible, long-term growth.

How We Support Children
Initially, children’s grief support at Bebe’s Hive will operate through a school-led referral pathway. Designated Safeguarding Leads, pastoral teams and SENCOs will guide referrals to ensure appropriate assessment, careful group composition and strong safeguarding oversight. This approach allows us to manage capacity while maintaining high standards of care.
Where a school referral is not suitable, we will consider alternative pathways following individual assessment. In addition, when a child requires therapeutic intervention beyond group-based creative support, qualified child grief and trauma therapists will work alongside Bebe’s Hive to provide appropriate care.
Our aim is simple: to provide the right level of support, at the right time, in the right way — always in partnership with families, schools and professionals.
